Business sustainability starts here… AMEC is committed to reducing its carbon footprint.

AMEC has worked in Kuwait ever since the rehabilitation of several of Kuwait's oilfields after the 1991 Gulf War. From our offices in Shuaiba and Ahmadi, we are providing project and engineering management for a number of important upstream and downstream projects in Kuwait. Our contract with the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), which we have successfully retained since 2004, established AMEC’s position as a major project manager in the region. At the end of last year, AMEC also secured a second, five year term contract to provide a range of engineering and PMC services to support KNPC’s three refineries at Mina Al-Ahmadi (MAA), Mina Abdulla (MAB) and Shuaiba (SHU). This is in addition to the exemplary work AMEC is delivering for the remediation of KOC oilfield properties damaged during the 1990-1991 Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, funded by the United Nations Compensation Committee (UNCC) and the PMC services for the mega grassroots refinery on behalf of KNPC.
