Neil Bruce
Executive Director
Chief Operating Officer
With more than 25 years experience of the oil and gas business and a passionate supporter of the development of the industry, Neil Bruce was appointed Chief Operating Officer in August 2010. He had previously been Chief Operating Officer for our Natural Resources division since April 2006 and our Power & Process division since 2009. Neil has held various senior positions in AMEC since he first joined in 1997.
Neil is Chairman of the UKTI Oil & Gas Sector Advisory Group and member of the UK Energy Excellence Board. He is a fellow of both the Energy Institute and the Institute of Directors, where he won an award for developing young people. Neil is a Trustee of the Engineers Against Poverty charity and Patron of Clan (Cancer Link Aberdeen North-East). He is also an Honorary Professor at Aberdeen Business School at The Robert Gordon University.
A Chartered Engineer, Neil has a Masters Degree from Newcastle University. During 2006, he completed a three year term as Chairman of the Offshore Contractors Association.
