Neil Bruce
Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, Natural Resources and Power & Process
With more than 25 years experience of the oil and gas business and a passionate supporter of the development of the industry, Neil Bruce was appointed Chief Operating Officer of our Natural Resources division in April 2006 and Chief Operating Officer of our Power & Process division in 2009. Neil has held various senior positions in AMEC since he first joined in 1997.
Neil is Chairman of the UKTI Oil & Gas Sector Advisory Group and member of the UK Energy Excellence Board. He is a fellow of both the Energy Institute and the Institute of Directors, where he won an award for developing young people. Neil is a Trustee of the Engineers Against Poverty charity and Patron of Clan (Cancer Link Aberdeen North-East). He is also an Honorary Professor at Aberdeen Business School at The Robert Gordon University.
A Chartered Engineer, Neil has a Masters Degree from Newcastle University. During 2006, he completed a three year term as Chairman of the Offshore Contractors Association.
