Enbridge Ontario Wind Power
AMEC and our joint venture partner, Black & McDonald, provided the balance of plant design and installation of Enbridge Ontario’s two 91 MW wind power facilities located on the shores of Lake Huron.
The scope of work included project management, design, supply, construction, and commissioning of balance of plant works, which included the access roads, turbine foundations, crane pads, turbine erection, electrical collection systems, a 230 kV substation, and approvals to connect to the provincial transmission grid.
The Enbridge Ontario Wind Power Project is comprised of 110 Vestas V82 wind turbines spread across a 20,000-hectare project site, making it Ontario’s second largest wind farm.
