Oil Sands
AMEC has been the leading consultant in Athabasca oil sands since development of the industry in the 1950s. AMEC is involved in geotechnical design and construction support for tailings dams, pit slopes, foundations and pipelines. We are currently providing environmental impact assessments and permitting support on several large oil sands projects. We are experienced in both in mining and steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD).
