(LAWRENCEVILLE, NEW JERSEY) 12 April 2002 - AMEC has been awarded a contract by Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. to provide architectural and engineering services for its new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Haifa, Israel. AMEC will also supervise detailed design to be performed in Israel.
Taro, of Haifa, Israel, is a multi-national, science-based pharmaceutical company. The new facility will be at Taro's existing site in Haifa, located along the Mediterranean coast in northern Israel. The work, to be conducted by AMEC's Industrial & PharmaChem business unit, will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in 2003.
