AMEC makes its mark at UK Government’s Global Business summits, London

London, United Kingdom (6 August 2012)- AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, will be playing its part in the UK Government’s Global Business Summit programme being held in London this week to showcase UK capability to the world during the London Olympics.
AMEC executives are chairing and speaking in sessions at the Energy and Infrastructure summits at the ‘British Business Embassy’ event organised by UK Trade & Investment at Lancaster House, London.
At the Infrastructure summit on 8 August, AMEC Chief Executive Samir Brikho is introducing the session discussing ‘Carbon Footprint Reduction - the energy/water relationship’.
At the two day ‘Journey to Smart Energy’ summit being held on 6 & 7 August, AMEC Chief Operating Officer Neil Bruce is chairing the ‘Challenges of Frontier Environments’ debate. In this session gas, unconventional oil & gas, deepwater and frontier developments will be discussed.
AMEC’s Vice President for Clean Energy Strategic Programmes Frank Winter is a panellist on a session on civil nuclear power, which will cover the challenges facing the sector and the UK’s experience in creating and maintaining the environment for nuclear power generation, including legal and regulatory issues, waste management and training.
