Larson to Head AMEC's Colorado Operations

(Jan. 4, 2002 – Denver, CO) Anita M. Larson has joined the engineering and environmental services firm AMEC as manager of the company’s Earth & Environmental offices in the Denver area and in Colorado Springs.
Larson, a Golden, CO resident, brings 18 years of environmental consulting and management experience to AMEC. During her career, she has performed project- and program-management roles with Parsons, Brinckerhoff, Quade & Douglas Inc.; Harding Lawson Associates; PRC Environmental Management Inc. and others. Larson is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder (BA in Geology), a certified Project Management Professional, and an officer with the Denver post of the Society of American Military Engineers. The Denver-area office, at 550 S. Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood, offers a variety of services. These include energy-use auditing and conservation, analytical chemistry data validation, and a broad range of environmental services covering the air, land and water. The office is staffed with chemists, mechanical engineers, biologists, geologists and environmental professionals.
The Colorado Springs office, at 7011 Campus Drive, offers environmental compliance assessments, contaminated site remediation, aircraft noise modeling, and a variety of vegetation and wildlife studies. Remediation experience has ranged from small underground storage tanks to federal Superfund sites involving many hazardous chemicals.
