AMEC employs more than 20,000 people, from skilled engineers and scientists to project managers, working from a network of offices throughout the UK, US and Canada, as well as regional offices and projects worldwide. AMEC's shares are traded on the London Stock Exchange where the company is listed in the Support Services sector (LSE: AMEC.L).
It is headquartered in the UK, with its registered office, Sandiway House, in Hartford near Chester and its combined turnover was £3.2 billion in 2006.
AMEC is organised into four distinctive market sector divisions (see fig 1) and this report covers all four divisions and AMEC's corporate centre.
