Dow Jones Sustainability Index
AMEC was listed as a sector leader in both the Dow Jones World and European STOXX Sustainability Index for the fourth year in succession. AMEC was judged to be the world leader in the support services sector, competing against 71 of the worlds largest support service companies, 10 of which made the World Index.
The annual review of the DJSI group is based on a thorough assessment of corporate economic, environmental and social performance. Its results help to influence the investment decisions of asset managers in 15 countries who have licensed the DJSI group as a benchmark for a variety of sustainability-driven portfolios - including mutual funds and structured products.
Business in the Community
This group of indices' are based on a comprehensive, audited survey of AMEC's management and performance in the community, environment, marketplace and workplace. Through 2007 BitC made amendments to the score weightings which means the numerical results are not directly comparable year on year.
