Validation process
This year we have made changes to our validation process in accordance with our external auditor's comments in 2006. Data verification and audit has been handed over to AMEC divisions in order to encourage a greater degree of ownership.
Each section owner of the report has conducted a thorough check on data before it was passed to our external auditor.
External verification
ENVIROS audits the statements made in our report to check the evidence on which the statements are based. This assessment is undertaken with the authors of the report, heads of function and the Sustainability Programme Manager. They are then able to make comment on the robustness of our indicator information and suggest recommendations for change where appropriate.
